INGREDIENTS
6-7 small turnips
Health ‘O Mat or Himilayan salt
A tablespoon of dried parsely
Fresh crushed garlic according to taste
250ml fresh cream
METHOD
Cut the ends of the turnips off and wash. Peel and slice into rounds of about 1cm each. Grease a glass dish. Put the sliced turnips into the dish. Sprinkle with the spice/salt, parsley and garlic. Pour the cream over and mix well. Place in an oven at 200°C for 30 minutes or until the turnips are cooked and the top has browned. Stir at least twice during cooking. Do not stir again once the turnips are cooked so that the top can form a light brown crust. Serve as a side with a braai/barbeque or a roast.
