LOWCARB MINCE

INGREDIENTS

500g fatty beef mince
70g tin tomato paste
olive oil
1 box 390g Italian crushed tomatoes
1 chopped bell pepper
1 finely chopped onion
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp Himalayan salt
1 tsp cracked black pepper
1½ cups water
3 cloves minced roasted garlic

METHOD

Sauté onions, garlic and bell pepper in olive oil for a few minutes. Add the mince and when it changes colour, use a masher to mash the mince to a fine consistency. Add the spices, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes and water. Let the mince simmer on low for 40 minutes or until cooked. Serve with grated cheese on top, mashed avo and sour cream. You can add less or more water depending on how saucy you’d like the mince.
